About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Student UX/UI Workflow Analyst to support our client in the Aviation Industry. This role is ideal for a student with a passion for user experience, process mapping, and workflow analysis who enjoys working with complex systems and simplifying them into clear, structured workflows.

The successful candidate will analyze, document, and optimize the client's existing software tool by mapping user roles, workflows, and compliance requirements. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world UX/UI research experience in a high-stakes industry while developing skills in user profiling, process optimization, and stakeholder analysis.

Role Level: Undergraduate/Masters - Must be enrolled as a student during entire duration

Role Level: Approx Hours: 400 hrs (Total)

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and Document Software Usage
  • Conduct a detailed review of the client’s existing software tool.
  • Identify and document all user roles interacting with the system.
  • Map out process flows for each role to understand their interactions with the tool.
  • Develop User Profiles and Feature Prioritization Create user personas based on role-specific tasks and responsibilities.
  • Identify and categorize system requirements into ‘need to haves’ vs. ‘nice to haves’ for each user group.
  • Capture usability pain points and areas for workflow improvements.
  • Understand Role Responsibilities from a Managerial Perspective.
  • Conduct interviews with team leads and managers to understand the expected duties of each user role.
  • Compare actual software usage vs. expected responsibilities to identify misalignment.
  • Document any gaps, redundancies, or inefficiencies in the workflow.
  • Ensure Compliance and Regulatory Considerations.
  • Identify and document any compliance requirements that impact different roles in the system.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure industry regulations and best practices are embedded in workflows.
  • Highlight potential risks related to missing compliance steps.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong Analytical Skills – Ability to break down complex systems and synthesize information into clear, structured workflows.
  • Fast Learner – Comfortable learning new industry concepts quickly, especially in a technical and highly regulated field like Aviation.
  • Detail-Oriented – Able to capture all user needs, compliance issues, and process variations with precision.
  • UX/UI Mindset – Understanding of user-centered design principles and experience with workflow mapping tools (e.g., Figma, Lucidchart, Miro, Visio) is a plus.
  • Excellent Communication Skills – Capable of conducting user interviews, synthesizing findings, and presenting insights in a clear and structured manner.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in UX/UI Design, Business Analysis, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior experience with process mapping, user research, or business analysis is an asset.
  • Exposure to Aviation, compliance-heavy industries, or enterprise software tools is a bonus.
