This talk will provide advice on how computer science grad students can improve their presentation skills.  Why give presentations, and what are the costs of a bad talk and benefits of a good one?   This talk will answer these questions and include advice on preparation, content, visuals, and delivery.   Concrete examples what can make a bad talk will be presented and discussed to help make a case for what should and should not be done when giving presentations.

Gregory Dudek is a Professor with the School of Computer Science and a member of the McGill Research Centre for Intelligent Machines (CIM) and an Associate member of the Dept. of Electrical Engineering at McGill University. He conducts research on sensor-based robotics, artificial intelligence and the related subjects.
